Happy 1/2 Birthday, Amelia.

It's hard to believe that 6 months ago today Amelia Sava Turrell was born. Where does the time go?
Here is a quick 6 month update:
She laughs when we laugh, which is pretty funny, which makes us laugh even more and so on and so on....
She prefers to sit up in her stroller now. This is definitely big girl stuff.
Her eyes seem to be an olive green color at this point. Still could change I hear.
She loves, loves, loves, rice cereal, squash and sweet potatoes. She's okay with avocados and absolutely does not care for bananas.
She continues to roll over and still complains about being stuck on her tummy 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time she makes it over again onto to her back. However it always seems to be a bit of a scary surprise to her when this happens and she cannot figure out why I would clap and cheer at such a thing.
She's got an inch-worm like movement going on when she's on her tummy...prelude to crawling maybe?
Still no teeth.
Still loves peek-a-boo, NPR, and Mister.
She got to see the basement for the first time during the storms/tornado warnings this past Tuesday night. She just sat on my lap looking around while she sucked her pacifier, smiling at me from behind it every now and again...it's times like those that I wish she could tell me what she was thinking..."this is an interesting place to hang out in the middle of the night, Mama, but okay, I'm game."
(By the way, Nashville somehow made it through pretty unscathed by the storms, miraculously and thankfully).
Amelia's nick-names to date given by various people: Amelia Badelia, Badelia, Badeals, Bodelia, Beanuts, Boo-boo, and Baby-do.
Amelia is a happy, healthy 6 month old and we thank God everyday for her sweet, cute, snuggly, feisty, beautiful, big life.
